About Value for Schools

Value for Schools was created by Baasit Siddiqui. Baasit is an educator first and foremost. He is also a well known TV personality, professional speaker, and author.

Baasit founded Value for Schools to celebrate the people, partnerships and ideas making a positive impact across education.

With over 15 years’ experience working in schools and alongside education organisations, Baasit has seen first-hand the challenges educators face in navigating an increasingly crowded and fast-moving landscape.

He also recognised something equally important: some of the most inspiring work happening in education often goes unseen.

Value for Schools was created to bridge that gap.

The platform brings together inspiring stories, practical resources, meaningful partnerships and opportunities designed to support schools, educators and above all, children and their families.

From impactful collaborations and innovative ideas to insightful reports, professional development, wellbeing support and education technology, everything featured is selected for its relevance, value and potential impact.

At its heart, Value for Schools is about motivation, inspiration and celebration. It exists to connect educators with organisations, initiatives and opportunities that can help schools thrive, while shining a light on the people and partnerships driving positive change across the education ecosystem.

Baasit Siddiqui is a keynote speaker, education consultant, author, and well-known TV personality from Channel 4’s BAFTA-winning series Gogglebox. Guided by the belief that potential is everywhere, but opportunity is not, he has dedicated his career to helping schools, companies and communities bridge that divide. Rather than focusing on privilege or background, Baasit champions the human-centred skills that build confident individuals and thriving cultures – curiosity, creativity, collaboration, compromise, communication, courage, and community.

With over 15 years of experience across education, media and business, Baasit created the 7Cs to Thrive framework, a practical model that helps organisations unlock hidden potential and strengthen belonging. His work spans hundreds of schools, universities, trusts, charities, and businesses, where he has delivered workshops, talks and campaigns designed to elevate learning, leadership and long-term opportunity.

Whether speaking to educators, executives or early-career employees, Baasit turns big ideas into actionable change. If you’re looking for a speaker who can energise your team, celebrate your educators, or help your organisation build opportunity for all, he would be delighted to connect. The Let’s Thrive programme, created by Baasit Siddiqui, supports learners and individuals across primary schools, secondary schools, further and higher education, as well as within the world of work and business. The programme is designed to develop digital literacy, entrepreneurial thinking and, most importantly, a human-centred approach to education, personal growth and future pathways. Built around the 7Cs to Thrive — curiosity, creativity, collaboration, compromise, communication, community and courage — learners are encouraged to reflect on their own strengths, attitudes and potential.

The programme is delivered through three core areas: Passports to ThriveProjects to Thrive and Proud to Thrive. Passports to Thrive provides free resources and activities that help learners explore how the 7Cs apply within education, work and everyday life. Projects to Thrive gives individuals the opportunity to work independently or collaboratively on creative challenges including app design, podcast concepts, television ideas, business creation and charitable initiatives. Proud to Thrive brings celebration and recognition to the forefront through assemblies, speaking engagements and personalised recognition experiences ranging from medals for younger students to testimonials and recommendations for college and university learners.

Let’s Thrive can be delivered digitally across an entire school, college or organisation, or through more personalised partnerships with Baasit and the wider Let’s Thrive team to provide deeper, hands-on support. Each programme and partnership is supported with a case study to celebrate and showcase the impact created within the setting.
