At Value for Schools, we believe young people should feel confident, informed and prepared for the rapidly changing digital world around them. Our partnership with Cyber Explorers reflects a shared commitment to digital literacy, online safety and helping students discover future career opportunities.
Baasit Siddiqui has partnered with Cyber Explorers since 2022, delivering both in-person and online sessions to young people across the UK aged 11 to 14. Through these sessions, students are introduced to the world of cybersecurity, helping them better understand how to stay safe online while also exploring the wide range of careers available within the sector.
This partnership allows Baasit to combine his experience across education, student engagement and digital literacy in support of a government-funded platform that is now being used by thousands of children across hundreds of schools nationwide.
Alongside student-facing work, Baasit has also supported teacher conferences and online webinars with Cyber Explorers, helping educators better understand the fast-paced and ever-evolving digital landscape. These sessions support teachers in staying informed so they can continue guiding and protecting the young people they work with.
With more than 87 different careers within the cybersecurity industry, Cyber Explorers are helping students recognise that the digital world offers opportunities for a wide range of skills, interests and strengths. Their mission to prepare young people for the digital jobs of the future strongly aligns with the values behind Value for Schools and Let’s Thrive.
What makes this partnership so impactful is its focus on both awareness and empowerment. It is not just about teaching children how to stay safe online, but helping them see the possibilities available to them in the future world of work.
Together, this partnership is helping schools build digitally aware, confident and future-ready learners.
